Tuscola is a small city in southern Taylor County, Texas, on U.S. Highway 83 about fifteen miles south of Abilene. Cash, who arrived from Tom Green County in 1898, named the town for his hometown of Tuscola, Illinois, and the name was accepted for the community on April 6, 1899.
