Perrin is a census-designated place and unincorporated community in southeastern Jack County, Texas, located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 281 and Farm Road 2210. At the 2020 census, the community recorded a population of 346. It sits in the open ranch country of North Texas, roughly between Mineral Wells to the south and Jacksboro to the north, with Weatherford and the western edge of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex within commuting distance. Perrin is a small agricultural and residential community whose identity centers on its school district. The Perrin-Whitt Consolidated Independent School District is based in Perrin, having formed from the consolidation of the Perrin and Whitt school districts in the 1960s, and it serves students from portions of Jack, Palo Pinto, and Parker counties.
