Hickory Creek is a town in Denton County, Texas, located about 30 miles north of downtown Dallas, along the shoreline of Lewisville Lake. It sits within the rapidly growing northern arc of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, near the cities of Lewisville, Lake Dallas, and Corinth. At the 2020 census, the town reported a population of 4,718. The town's history is one of remarkable growth. Named for a nearby creek, Hickory Creek developed as a lakeside community in the 1960s, incorporating in 1963 with a population of just 219 residents.
